Bhakti Yoga Society

Hare Krishna! Welcome to the University of Kent Bhakti Yoga Society.

Krishna Consciousness (also known as bhakti yoga) is said by saints, sages and enlightened souls from all ages and traditions to be the natural state of consciousness of all living beings.

What’s more, returning to our original consciousness through musical mantra meditation, spiritual food and the universal philosophy of yoga can reignite the dormant and blissful loving propensities that lie in the hearts of everyone and bring about permanent and substantial change in a troubled world!

So with this in mind we meet every Monday from 6pm – 9pm on campus for meditation, spiritual discussion and soul-stirring veggie food.

Members of the society will be going on day trips to temples and festivals and will have access to our yearly retreat at various locations across the U.K. and Europe - membership fees contribute to the costs of running the society and membership can be bought for just £6 here.

The revolutionary practice of bhakti yoga is completely non-sectarian, so whatever your religious, spiritual, economic, political or cultural background, please feel free to join us and benefit from this sublime spiritual practise by chanting:

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna,

Krishna Krishna Hare Hare,
Hare Rama Hare Rama,

Rama Rama Hare Hare!

Thank you!
